Room one have been showing how we answer maths equations. So I made a DLO explaining how I did it. These were really fun to do and had lots of fun doing them (because they were kinda easy).

These two superheroes had had a lifetime of saving lives. Day after day, they had battled the streets fighting crime and protecting innocent people from the clutches of evil. But one day this guy was whistling through the forest while we were trying to sleep. But the worst thing of all he smelt like buttermilk ewww. It looked like he had a poison potion cause us two superheroes can sense these things. I could hear his footsteps coming closer and closer, crunching on branches and stepping on leafs. I jumped out to scare him so he didn't come back so I quickly popped out at him and scared him ROAR! He fell backwards but didnt look scared he got up and said fish fingers that hurt! I think you just dislocated my shoulder ouch. Your such a bad tiger and threw the potion all over me. It didn't do anything at first so I started laughing at him. He then said well why don't you try fight me then if your such a  superhero. Ok then I said be prepared to lose. I tried fighting him and my strength was gone and couldn't fight him so I woke up my brother and told him everything. My brother then started to go in a circle getting ready to punch him. The guy said so whats your name acting like he wasn't petrified. GET OUT OF HERE NOW my brother yelled. Of course the guy said but before he left he asked if we had any toilet paper cause he needed some. He ran of crying and never to be seen again, after he had left my brother ran to me are you ok. I had no response and that response will never come...

Story starter writing!

                                                       W.A.L.T: Write with a purpose!

I had stumbled across the mysterious circles in a clearing in the forest and watched as the deer approached them. With a slight twitch of its ears, the deer stepped indifferently through the first circle and vanished. Completely vanished into what looked like a mirror but it was in fact a portal! I rubbed my eyes seeing if I was imagining it but I wasn't. I got closer and closer but not to close because I didn't want to get stuck in the portal. All of a sudden I accidentally tripped on a root and got sucked in by the portal. When I was in the portal I was screaming like it was my last scream ever, although it felt like that. All that was happening was me falling it went on for so long. I came to the end and fell on my back I made a really good loud smack on the ground. Some time had gone by and I woke up I was confused but still stood up instantly. I saw that I was in the exact same forest and came back to the same spot where the portal was, I felt like I was dreaming nothing made sense. There was another portal so I went in that to see where that would take me. AGAIN it took me to the same forest so instead, I just decided to leave and try to forget about all of this. So I go the way that I came in to try escape, I got to the end of the forest and tried stepping out but I couldn’t there was something blocking me it was like a giant...BUBBLE!

Room one has done some maths. For the maths today we did a DLO of some questions and we had to answer them but most importantly show how we worked it out. This is my working out of 5 questions.

Everything you need to know about Holy Week!

W.A.L.T: Talk about Holy week!

Holy week:

Palm Sunday: Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, he was greeted by people waving palms.

Holy Monday:(in the temple) Jesus saw people selling animals for money and that got Jesus mad, he shouted at the people about what they were selling.

Shrove Tuesday: Jesus has a feeling that Judas will leave him in the meeting

Ash Wednesday: Judas arranges how he will betray Jesus.

Thursday(the last super):Jesus cleans the disciples shoes, Jesus shares the bread(his body) and wine(his blood).

Good Friday:Jesus trialed in the public and his punishment was crucifixion.
Room one have been talking about the Holy week and this is everything put into my own words about holy week. We had to watch a few videos to learn about Holy week

For reading we have to read a book from home and I read  The Baby-Sitters Club, its about these girls that want to be baby-sitters but another group wants to be bayby-sitters but they ar mean to the children.
I love this book, I have read it so many times and definetly recomend it.

How to act online!

                                           W.A.L.T: How to act/stay safe online!

Room one have been asked to create a DLO explaining how to be safe/act online. So I made a gogle slide on how to act online.

My favourite bit was making the back round and putting in images to make it more colourful. I hope you understand how to act online. So you can be safe. I hope you enjoyed my slide and learned something new. Make sure to be safe and healthy!

Camp Recount!

                          Camp Recount

On the 26th of February room one went to Hanmer Springs for camp!

On the first day, when we got there we were supposed to walk up dog stream walk but we accidentally drove up it, so Miss Holland let us do a way smaller walk. After we had finished the walk we had to walk all the way back to camp while the parents took the cars. When we got back we settled in to our cabins and got in to our togs. Then we headed back played castle and spotlight and went to bed.

At the pools we all had so much joy doing manus, bombs, shoulder rides,diving, tag in the lazy river and going on the hydroslides. I went on the hydroslides with Kata, Jennah, Tallulah, Hunter and Gabrielle. The hydroslides were so enjoyable. We had lots of laughs at the pools.

The next morning we did orienteering in our group. You had to write down these marks hidden somewhere in the forest. Then we came back and did our first activities some groups went mountain biking and my group did tree climbing it was really scary trying to get to the top, but im happy that I gave all three of the trees a try and got to where I wanted to.

Later on when we had finished our first activity we played castle then played spotlight. After spotlight we all laid down on the grass looking up at the sky watching the satellites pass by there were about sixty of them it was so cool. 

On the third day/last day, we all did our second activity. My group went mountain biking while the other groups did tree climbing. Mountain biking was very exciting before we left we did a quick check on our bikes to make sure we would be safe. Then we went around the field to make sure we knew how to ride a bike and also to make sure that we knew how to change gears. After that we biked to the forest and finally went mountain biking.

When we got into the forest we went for a quick bike along the track to get used to it. Next we started to go up hills and down hills. We made our way through the forest to a pump track, me, Max, Reggie and Makkus went around the pump track about 20 times I had so much fun doing it. Later we went to snakes and ladders which is a game with lots of turns and hills. I had a blast doing that so I went twice. Then we headed back.

As soon as we got back to camp we had lunch and packed the cars went to the bathroom and left. While we were in the car we listened to music and Jackson wouldn't stop talking about McDonalds. Then we got back to school and went home.

Thank you for letting us go on camp we all had so much energy going/playing in the pools and playing games and doing all of the activities and especially the food.

Mihi fun!

W.A.L.T: Identify who you are using visual mihi.

Over the past few weeks room one have been drawing all about ourselves/mihi.

first we had a plain white piece of paper with four lines, the top right corner is for Korus and how many people are in our family. On the top left corner you draw your mountains and river of where your from so mine is Mt. cook and the Waimakariri river.  On the bottom right you say where your from so I put New Zealand and a English flag also your avatar of yourself that you made. And then on the bottom left you put the things that you like. First you had to draw it in pencil then you had to go over the pencil in vivid then tie-dye. After you had let it dry you could stick your avatar onto it.

These symbols mean a lot to me because it makes me feel happy whenever I think about these symbols.

I reckon next time I could take my time better so it looks better. But I still had so much fun.
