This week my maths group have been learning how to simplify fractions.

Today Max and I made a Screen Castify on simplifying fractions to teach others how to do it. 

 Our equation was 4/12.

 Recently in my writing  class we have been learning about Metaphors and Tallulah, Arnaika and I made a poster about metaphors and what they are.

Cyber Smart

 Today in Cyber smart we were learning about private and public information. So we did an activity that we get into pairs and look at each others blog and mark points or take away points that shows private information. 

Tallulah won out of us two.

 Today for R.E me and Tallulah had to make a comic strip talking about Jesus ascending into heaven.

Rhythm Task!

 Today I came up with 4 different beats for music, we had three animals/insects and we made syllables out of them to make some beats. I did horse: one syllable, caterpillar: 4 syllables, chicken: two syllables, horse: one syllable. That is the beat i did. If you wanna hear it go onto the slide and listen to it.

Capital E Wellington Camp

The year 8s went to Wellington for camp,we went for three days and on the last day we went to Capital E.

Capital E is a filming studio, where you pretend that you are on the news. We had three different rooms one of them was a computer room where Mase, Jackson m, Jennah and Jackson o. In room two I was in the room with Max, Kaysha, Raima, Makus, Trinity and axl. My role was floor manager thats when you tell people where they need to be on T.V. I was wearing a headset and Jennah was talking me through the headset. In the third room was Tallulah, Reggie, Mace, Hunter, Arnaika and Corina. 

First we read through scripts, practising our roles and what we need to do. We practised for about 40 minutes we also all got dressed up and ready to record. After we got all dressed up and practised we ate our morning tea after some practising. After we had finished our morning tea we went back inside for proper filming. The first take was just a run through of what it will be like. We were only aloud 2 takes at filming. 

After the first take we got to see how it turned out and lots of people were off time and the camera was on them but they werent talking because they didnt know when to talk (max). We talked to the teacher about how we can do better and make sure the timing was right. We went for our second take and we did way better at it. We got our lines right and had so much fun. 

The year eights had the best time going to capital E and was definitely my favourite thing we did in Wellington. So our second take was good and had lots of green screens, cameras, headsets, microphones, computers and a dress up room.
