Big Ben colouring picture!

 W.A.L.T Explore a new google tool

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London and is usually extended to refer to both the clock and the clock tower. The tower in which Big Ben is located is officially called the Elizabeth Tower; originally just the Clock Tower, it was renamed in 2012 for the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II.

Today I coloured in the Big Ben on this new google tool that Im trying out called Art colouring book, and we got to chose what picture we want and I chose the Big Ben, The reason I decided to chose this picture is because I am half English and I saw the Big Ben when I went to England a few years ago.

Advent mosaic art!

 W.AL.T show a symbol of hope through mosaic art.

It is advent and advent is four Sundays before Christmas and Christmas is special because thats when Jesus was born. I chose mosaic art where you draw something and stick paper to it, and i chose a sun because on the first week of advent its hope, and hope is a way of light, and the sun is a bright light so that is why i decided to draw it.

One point perspective drawings!

For the past 2 weeks we have been trying to draw one point perspective drawings, Some of them fade away into the distance but my one didn't, I did this for our school calendar. The things I learned is that you draw one point and all the lines match up to that one point. I also found out how to draw into the distance. This took me a few tries because I found it challenging trying to get the lines straight and trying to get the lines to match up with the dot in the middle, and sometimes I would just mess up.

Today Tallulah and I made a puzzle piece of the different parts of speech and we had to explain which each one was and we had to give an example. Then we had to colour in the little people and stick it on a big piece of paper.

I learnt what all of them were and I think I will remember them now.

I only did on decade, I did this because it is the month of the rosary and we have been saying one decade of the rosary each day for prayer time.

How to look after your chrome book!

 W.A.L.T understand how to look after our chrome books.

Today Tallulah and I had to highlight all these things about Kawa of care and how to look after our chrome books. The yellow are the very very important things, green is very important, and blue is just important. So we had to highlight each sentence one of the colours five times. And this is the work I have done:

When passing your chrome book to anyone or carrying your chrome book in the classroom 

the lid must be closed 
you must carry it with two hands 
only carry one chrome book at a time
I highlighted this as yellow because it is important that you do this because you could drop your chrome book and break it.

When chromebooks are being carried anywhere outside they must be 
inside their bag 
the bag must be carried by its handles OR inside a suitable school bag/backpack
it must be protected from rain and wet or damp conditions at all times

I highlighted this as yellow because if you drop your chrome book outside on the concrete it is smashed and then if you take your chrome book outside and its raining it will get wet and brake.

I will always be in the right place, at the right time when I am online. If in doubt I will ask my teacher or parent.

I highlighted this as yellow because if you are on the wrong place at the wrong time you will get told off for not doing the right thing and not asking to be on what you are on.

I will protect my password and keep it completely secret.

I highlighted this yellow because if you give out your password it will go around and then you will get hacked and it wont be good.

I put this as yellow because if you do something bad on your chrome book you will get the blame because your the one in charge of your chrome book.

Volcano eruptions!

                                  W.A.L.T See the reaction of Vinegar and baking soda

For the past 2 weeks room one have been making volcanoes, today we decided to erupt them outside in the domain, We used water to put in the bottle then we put baking soda in the bottle and after that we added vinegar, when we added the vinegar, the water slowly rised up and started coming out of the bottle just like a volcano. I saw a cool bubbly explosion that kind of looked like the rasberry drink. If I could change something about my volcano, I would try make it look like a proper volcano like everyone else.

Today in class the senior syndicate tried 2 different types of cyber smart fun games, we would go on a meet with lots of different schools, and one person from a school would lead it and try teach you something over a google meet. I did pick a path and canva. A positive was that I got to learn new things, a minus is that I couldnt really catch up to what they were saying. I found it interesting how I got to see lots of other schools/kids and learn some cool stuff

These were very hard to solve so we tried our hardest!

Narrative!

                                             W.A.L.T Write an engaging narrative.
In writing I have been writing a narrative about this guy that gets into a plane crash and hes an only survivor and he was in the middle of no where.

He screamed for help ¨HELP,¨ no one responded he then knew he was in trouble. (5 hours earlier) ¨Hurry up JJ, you will miss your flight,¨ Said Kiara. JJ put his bags in the car and Kiara drove him to the airport.
¨Do I really have to go try to find my mum?¨ asked JJ.
¨Of course you have too, it's time you met her,¨ Said Kiara while going to hug JJ.
 ¨bye, love you,¨ Said JJ hugging Kiara back.
JJ got on his flight and was nervous to see his mother. After a few hours of flying JJ saw the flight attendants running up and down the aisle, he was kind of confused but didn't think much of it. He looked out the window and saw that he was in the middle of nowhere, the plane at that moment started shaking and going up and down with everyone screaming in the back but all JJ heard was a ringing noise that he didn't like. The flight attendants started yelling ¨Everyone get back to your seats.¨ Then they started shouting to everyone ¨Brace, Brace get your heads down, Put on your seat belts,¨ JJ did as he was told, putting his hands behind his head. All of a sudden the plane crashed straight to the ground, everyone flung off their seats and for most of them were dead.


JJ woke up and felt his head he checked his hand and saw there was blood all over his hand, he screamed for help ¨HELP,¨ no one responded he then knew he was in trouble. He got up and sat straight back down with a saw pain in his leg. He checked outside and saw that he must have been knocked out over night because it looked like there was a sunrise. He dragged himself out of the plane and looked at the plane cut in half with the tail trying to reach for the sky. It was that high up in the air. There was dirt smashed all over the plane. Eventually JJ tried calling someone but had no service, so he looked around and saw a building in the far distance, he started to run but it didn't work so he started to limp with one foot dragging behind the other putting all his weight on to his other foot. He had gotten closer to the building to realise it looked like an abandoned hospital, so he went in and called for help ¨HELP, IS ANYONE IN HERE,¨ He heard no response. So he got bandages and started to put pressure on his leg and wrapped it up, then he got band aids and put them on his cuts on his head. After JJ had wrapped his wounds he saw a cafeteria and started eating disgusting cafeteria food.m  After some feasting JJ heard a strange noise from one of the rooms, so he went and checked it out. His stomach had a turning feeling as if he had just got off a rollercoaster. JJ slowly turned the handle leading to the room he opened it and what he saw was people?
He asked ¨Who are you guys?¨
¨My girlfriend Sarah was in a Coma and she got abandoned in a hospital, and we don't know our way out so that's how we are here¨ Said this tall dude who had a bruise on his eyes with long parted hair.
¨So how did you get here tall guy?¨ Said JJ waiting for a response.
¨Oh, Well the nurses stuck a needle in my leg and I woke up about 1hour ago,¨ Said the tall guy.
¨How did you get here?¨ Said the tall guy's girlfriend.
¨Well, I got in a plane crash and I'm the only survivor,¨ Said JJ sadly.
¨Oh my gosh are you ok?¨ Said The tall guy and his girlfriend at the same time.
¨Yeah I'm fine,¨ Exclaimed JJ.
There was an awkward silence.
¨So what are your names?¨ Asked JJ trying to fill in the silence.
¨ I'm John B and this is my girlfriend Sarah,¨ Said John B pointing to his blonde hair small faced girlfriend with good style.
¨Well I'm hungry. Do you guys want some cafeteria food?¨ Said Sarah, hoping to hear a yes from the boys.
¨Well I just ate some cafeteria food, so I'm not too hungry,¨ Said JJ rubbing his stomach in circles.
They still all headed to the cafeteria, and John B and Sarah started eating some cafeteria food. Then JJ tried to look for some service running around the hospital, JJ got mad that he couldn't get any service so he punched the wall. He started breathing heavily and was sweating. JJ went back to the cafeteria and told the others that there was no service. There was a moment of silence as they all thought the same idea that they would never get out of here.
¨Right, we need a plan to get out of here because I'm sick of this cafeteria food,¨ Said John B with him getting louder with every word.
¨Calm down,¨ Said Sarah. ¨We will get out of here we just gotta have hope,¨ As she added to her sentence.
¨HOPE?¨ Yelled John B. ¨HOPE?¨ Repeating himself. ¨We can't just hope someone has to save us.¨ John B yelling to everyone.
¨Yes we need hope to get outta here otherwise we will never come outta here,¨ Sarah yelling at John B.
¨Ok, Everyone stop yelling, we can't get outta here if we are angry and are annoyed at each other ok,¨ Yelling back at the two of them JJ said.
They then all heard a chopping kind of sound coming from outside.
¨What's that?¨ Questioned Sarah.
¨I think that's a HELICOPTER,¨ JJ yelled.
They all looked at each other and smiled and sprinted outside going in a line one after another. They saw the helicopter landing right by the plane. ¨HEY, OVER HERE,HELP,¨ Yelled Sarah and JJ at the same time waving their hands at the top of their heads jumping up and down. But Nobody heard them.


The pilots of the helicopter went and checked out the plane to see if anyone survived.
¨This is not good, and I don't think there were any surprises,¨ Said the Pilot.
Sarah John B and JJ still couldn't get there attention.

Seasons!

                Today for R.E we had to draw some things that we like to do in the seasons.
So for summer I put I like to surf and go to the beach, and in autumn I like to stay in bed, in winter I like to watch netflix at home, and at spring I like to go outside and enjoy nature.

Castle Design!

Today for reading we had to draw a castle on the inside and design it in our books, so this is my castle. I like my garden in my castle cause I would really like my garden to look like that. The way I would keep it warm in the winter is to have heat pumps and fire places all over the castle. Me and my friends because we would be responsible enough, and we would have our own driver with lots of cars and got to ride in any car we wanted to wherever.

Battle royale games normally start by getting dropped onto the map out of an aircraft and skydive down to where they want to go. Fortnite Battle Royale is a free Battle Royale video game developed and published by epic games. You can play with your friends and have different devices such as one of your friends can play on Iphone while you are playing on Playstation. The Battle Royale genre isn't going anywhere soon, recent reports Battlefield V and Call of Duty: black Ops IV will be releasing their own Battle Royale modes when they launch later this year.

Tuesday Maths!

                                             W.A.L.T Add using tens and hundreds.

Today I did some maths and took a screenshot of my maths book, 

And practiced doing some strategys.

This is my working out.

We also practiced a few times tables. 

My strategy was getting to the nearest hundred and then + to the answer and however much that was I added how much I subtracted or added.

Today we got our duffy books,

I got a book called unschooled, and Im excited to read it. But it looks like its about kids who arent being taught enough. I also saw a picture about a trophe that says the worst in 5th grade.

Today for reading we have to read 15 minutes of a book that we are currently reading.

I have been reading little women and I love it, I have also just recently watched the movie and I loved the movie as well.

My summary: I have just read about Jo listens to Laurie play the Piano and Jo learns a little more about Laurie and his family and why he lives with his Grandfather.

And I already know what happens next.

I enjoyed learning about Lauries family and his talents.

I loved putting facts that I read about onto the google drawing and I love to make back rounds with different colours.

Anime Timeline!

Today for reading I had to do a timeline about Anime, From a text that Miss Holland had made for us.

My favourite year was 2016 because I feel like it would be good to have made something that went really viral and you got to go onto T.V again.

This was really easy for me to make because I just had to find the right year in the text and then get information from that year.

The line of symmetry!

                                      WALT:Reflect and find lines of symmetry in shapes

Today for maths I have a symmetry game that You draw on one side of the line and it will mirror it on to the other side automatically.

We got to choose what we draw and I drew a flower and smiley face.

I liked drawing it because it looked cool, but it also looked weird at the same time because if you were drawing a line going up it would go the opposite way.

It was kind of hard at the start of drawing the petals but then I got the hang of it.

I have been learning about reflect,rotate,translate and find lines of symmetry. And I have reflected the shape that Miss Holland put on the sheet for us and our task was to try copy it. This is how I did, My ones are the purple. Overall this was really hard for me at the start but then I started to realise what I needed to do and it was really easy. I really enjoyed doing this and I would definetly do it again, But next time harder.

I have made an Infographic on how to look after a dog, I have gotten information about how I you are supposed to look after a dog and I put a starter sentence and then instructions under neath it. Then I made my own pictures.
I liked making the pictures because it was going really well.

Tessellation Testing!

W.A.L.T:Move a shape from one point to another without changing the shape, direction or size.

I have made a tessellation on paper, I have gotten a few pieces of paper and folded them in half and then in half again then I got a triangle that I had already cut out and cut around the triangle on the paper, doing that it made me get about 4 pieces at once. Then I put The triangles going up and down in a pattern like that. After that I glued it down to the paper and then started colouring in the triangles. All of this together took about 2 hours which I didnt expect to take that long.
A Tessellation is a shape that repeats from one point to another without changing sizes or shape.
Have you ever made a Tessellation shape on paper? If so what shape did you do?

Rube Goldburg Machine!

Today for tech I made a Rube Goldburg Machine with lots of different objects from around the house. It took 16 attempts and we changed it quite alot to make it work. I enjoyed making it and see what I could use, but I disliked it when it wouldnt work.
